Our priorities for Northern Ireland 2024-25
We aim to empower communities, strengthen engagement, and build digital capabilities.
Priority one: empowering communities in Northern Irish FE and HE
Establish regular community engagement in IT, library, learning technology, and learning and teaching.
What good looks like:
- Community groups established and termly meetings held
- Reestablishment of ALT NI with increased Jisc support
Priority two: strengthening stakeholder engagement
Increase the awareness and understanding of the value of Jisc within the Department for the Economy, the wider Northern Ireland Executive and with other key stakeholders.
What good looks like:
- Increased frequency of engagement with the Department for the Economy
- Positive outcome to the economic appraisal for Jisc’s funding in Northern Ireland
- All Northern Ireland members represented at the National Engagement Forum, with a high level of engagement and satisfaction reported through evaluation
Priority three: building Northern Ireland’s digital capability
Increase take-up and use of Jisc’s digital capability tools and associated advice and guidance.
What good looks like:
- Increased take-up and use of the building digital capability discovery tool
- Increased awareness of Jisc’s advice and guidance offer across Jisc’s members in Northern Ireland
- Provision of support to build AI capability for FE and HE staff in Northern Ireland
