Chief executive officer

Heidi has been Jisc's chief executive officer since September 2021.

Chief financial officer

Nicola oversees our financial activities to ensure we deliver excellence and cost-effectiveness in our professional support services; especially those concerned with financial and commercial matters. See Nicola's staff profile.

Deputy chief executive and chief operating officer

Alice leads a team developing our key professional support functions, including corporate governance, legal services, strategic planning and performance, project and portfolio management, marketing and communications, HR and facilities.

Jayne Davies

Managing director, customer and sector enablement

Jayne leads the directorate that supports members and sells products and services to customers in adjacent markets. This includes trust, identity and access, data analytics and student services, along with selling e-infrastructure solutions to public sector and private research. The directorate is a crucial part of Jisc’s strategy to have strong financial sustainability. 

She's also responsible for sales and member enablement across all four of our sectors – HE, FE, research and customers - putting the directorate at the heart of the organisation and supporting our shared vision of technology for good. See Jayne's staff profile.

Liam Earney

Managing director HE and research, and executive director of digital resources

Liam leads HE member engagement through and with Jisc’s account management team. He is accountable for our HE and research strategies and their implementation.

Alongside his role as managing director Liam is responsible for Jisc’s digital content and software negotiations, its provision of discovery services and its work in open research. See Liam's staff profile.

Robin Ghurbhurun

Managing director, further education, skills, and FE/HE advice and training

Robin is the UK executive lead for Jisc’s FE and skills policy, stakeholder engagement, and services. He leads on Jisc’s strategy for supporting member FE and skills institutions with their digital transformation. This includes thought leadership, enhanced professional practice, data insights, business optimisation and elevating the student and staff digital experience.

Robin also provides executive leadership on our advisory and training services for further and higher education. He ensures Jisc has strategic engagement with Department for Education in England, Scottish Funding Council, Welsh Government and the Department for the Economy in Northern Ireland and other relevant agencies and digital suppliers. This enables collaboration to find the right solutions in areas such as edtech policy, digital infrastructure planning and investment. See Robin's staff profile.

Steve provides strategic, technical leadership and vision to our technology staff, across networking, digital information resources, innovation and internal IT.

Rob Phillpotts

Chief data officer

Rob ensures the delivery of the data aspects of the Jisc strategy and supports the sector's world-class use of data. He ensures the data collection and statistical analysis we provide continues to be trusted, credible and accurate.
