    About

Raise awareness of accessibility practices amongst staff across your institution with our ‘best practice’ short course. The course is suitable for any member of staff who creates documents, communications, resources or learning material in their role.

    Course material will include:

    • Introducing staff to the accessibility web regulations
    • Providing an overview of the implications in further and higher education
    • Giving staff an understanding of why these must be considered in daily working practices

Before the first live session there are pre-requisite tasks to complete. You will have one week to complete these tasks and submit them to our course support platform itslearning. You will receive login credentials for the platform and all the pre-requisites information one week before the first live session.

This online course work will be expanded on in the live sessions, with opportunities to question, reflect on and develop knowledge to make existing working practice more accessible.

Between the two live sessions, there are further course activities so you can try out the testing and amending of documents.

The second live session then explores best practices and tools that can be used in the day-to-day creation of documents, resources, and presentations etc.

Supporting materials and directions to further sources of professional development will be provided.

    Who should attend
